The 'ENDA' your religious liberty

The libs are making hay with their majorities and doing more than chipping away at our America, they're blowing holes from every direction. When we run to try and protect one area, they sneak over and start on another.

I don't normally post things with donation requests or membership requests, but this is an issue I think you need to know about. I left in all the links and requests because you may feel inclined to get involved and help.

Here's the message from the Family Research Council on ENDA. This group does an outstanding job of informing and protecting us on numerous fronts:

The 'ENDA' your religious liberty

We've won this fight before. With your help, we can win it again!

It's back.

Congressional liberals have breathed new life into an outrageous, discredited, and defeated attack on your faith.

The threat I'm talking about is the deceptively named Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA).

You know ENDA has nothing to do with ending bias in the workplace.

Instead, it's the pot of gold at the end of the homosexual "rights" rainbow . . .

. . . the end of moral opposition to counterfeit marriage, homosexuals in the military, the indoctrination of school children, the rest of the homosexual rights agenda, and the lottery for trial lawyers.

The Left wants you to think ENDA is inevitable. But that's a lie too. The phone calls, letters and emails to politicians plus the prayers and financial support of friends like you have helped us stop ENDA in the past. And we can do it again, but only with your help.

If you are able, please become a member of FRC Action now by sending a generous gift to help win this key struggle to protect your faith, family, and freedom . . . and all businesses.

FRC Action is the congressional lobbying affiliate of Family Research Council (FRC). Our team has decades of experience on Capitol Hill and we're working with moderate and undecided lawmakers who are being pressed to pass ENDA before the new Congress starts in January.

We must not allow ENDA to pass. Because if ENDA becomes law, it will mean . . .

. . . federal enforcement of the homosexual rights agenda from your children's schools, to your office, to the faith-based charities you support, and eventually to your church.
A Canadian evangelical ministry was forced under Ontario's ENDA-type law to pay $23,000 in back pay to a lesbian it had dismissed for lying about her immoral sexual behavior. The ministry also was ordered to indoctrinate its Bible-believing employees in the homosexual agenda.
New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo threatened massively expensive legal action against a trendy Manhattan clothing boutique that failed to hire transsexuals who were sent by left-wing activists to apply for jobs with fake resumes.
An Indiana school district defended a school bus driver as "working within the scope of her employment" for verbally assaulting a child and demeaning her as "a stupid little bigot" for expressing her pro-life, pro-marriage beliefs.
Men in Colorado already are taking advantage of that state's ENDA-type law to use ladies' restrooms and literally expose little girls and women to their perversions.

We've won this fight every time liberals have started it since 1994.

This time, though, we're facing a perfect storm: liberal majorities in both houses of Congress, backed by a President who owes his election in part to the homosexual Left.

And President Obama has promised his homosexual base that he will personally "usher through an Employment Non-Discrimination Act and sign it into law."

I hope you understand now why I am so deeply concerned about the grave threat ENDA poses to your Christian and conservative values at home, at work, and in the "public square."

If you share that concern, may I hear from you today?

FRC Action members link arms with our Capitol Hill experts and tens of thousands who are fighting together for faith, family and freedom in America! Members receive insider information, invitations to special events, political endorsement announcements, and the opportunity to participate in the FRC Action PAC to remove liberal politicians and elect proven conservatives. Please join today!

I am deeply grateful for your interest in FRC Action. By standing with us, you enable us to grow stronger with every battle and strengthen us for future struggles.

Sincerely,
Tony Perkins

More on Obama and Walpin

Byron York - Walpin update: New charges of political motive in IG firing; prosecutor who aided Obama ally sought job from Obama

One of the mysteries of President Obama's abrupt June 2009 firing of AmeriCorps inspector general Gerald Walpin concerns the dispute at the bottom of it all: Walpin's aggressive investigation of the misuse of AmeriCorps dollars by Kevin Johnson, the mayor of Sacramento, California and an Obama political ally. Johnson was accused of misusing federal grants for St. HOPE, the nonprofit educational organization he founded. Walpin found that Johnson and St. HOPE had failed to use the federal money for the purposes specified in their grant, and had also used federally-funded AmeriCorps staff for, among other things, "driving [Johnson] to personal appointments, washing his car, and running personal errands." Walpin's investigation led to Johnson being banned from receiving any more federal dollars.

Revenger in chief: Lid blows off Obama's forgotten scandal

An updated investigation report on the scandal known as "Walpingate" adds fuel to the suspicion that President Obama may have fired Gerald Walpin, an independent inspector general, as an illegal act of political cronyism and revenge.

Franken's sharp tongue emerges in Senate (& Herman Cain)

Al Franken, the Democrat from Minnesota who won election to the Senate after a successful career as a comic and author, has begun to show the sharp-tongued side of his personality by ripping into GOP staffers behind the scenes.

Heard a bit from Georgia's Herman Cain yesterday on the radio regarding Democrat "SIN". Demtactics: Shift, Ignore, call the opponent Names...

Love Herman, think he is so spot on with how he handles the left. Deeply intelligent, strongly conservative, sharper than a tack. He has the ability to put into words things that have been milling around in my brain and do it in a way that makes me want to shout "Ah ha, that's it!!!".

When I popped into my email this morning and saw the bit above from Al Franken, my first thought was that he's the master of SIN with the emphasis on the "N". He's a nasty, foul mouthed man and it was a sad day for this country when he scraped by to get to D.C. If his true nature continues to show I'm hoping his constituents wise up, get serious, and boot his butt out in the next election.

Here's Herman's article on SIN that I just located: http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=107786

On a side note about Herman... I got a big kick out of his choice to be positive yesterday! Someone had tasked him, I gather, on a previous show to be positive. He took 'em up on it and was POSITIVE that the health care bill, cap & trade, etc., etc. was going to destroy the country, etc., etc., etc. He was POSITIVE about a whole lotta things along those lines. Love it.

He's on WSB Radio in Atlanta, Georgia. Usually on at 7 p.m. and sometimes as a sub during the Neal Boortz show. If you get a chance to listen, please do. If you can't, go check out his web site and become one of his Intelligent Thinkers... www.hermancain.com.

The "official" blurb:
(Herman Cain is currently a radio talk-show host. "The Herman Cain Show," News Talk 750 WSB-Atlanta, airs Monday-Friday, 7 p.m.-10 p.m. EST (listen LIVE online). He is a former corporate executive and CEO, and still serves on the board of directors of three corporations that range in size from 4 to 16 billion dollars in annual revenue. His latest book, "They Think You're Stupid," was inspired following his 2004 run for the U.S. Senate as a Republican in Georgia. You can also hear and see "The Best of Herman Cain" anytime.)

Canadian Censorship re: Obama and Friends

Obama’s bio a state secret in Canada

He's the most high-profile politician in recent history, the winner of a bruising election campaign in which every aspect of his life -- from his smoking habit to anti-American comments made by his pastor -- came under relentless scrutiny.

But according to Canadian government officials, a biography of U.S. President Barack Obama provided to Prime Minister Stephen Harper shortly after Mr. Obama's inauguration last January qualifies as a state secret...

... The 77 pages of heavily censored documents released to Canwest include memos to Mr. Harper from his foreign-policy adviser, a letter from Canada's former ambassador to the United States, Michael Wilson, as well as talking points to prepare Mr. Harper for the meeting. It also includes biographies of the president and officials who accompanied the president on the trip to Canada, including National Security Advisor James Jones, National Economic Council director Lawrence Summers, Obama's chief of staff Rahm Emanuel and White House press secretary Robert Gibbs.

In blacking out the biographies of the president and his entourage... http://www.nationalpost.com/news/story.html?id=2199765

Me:

So why would the Canadian government feel the need to redact entire bios of Obama and friends? If there were something sensitive in the compilation, why not just black out part of one or two? Misdirection possibly? They figured if they just blacked out portions everyone would wonder, go digging to find the dirt? Or is it that there was so much that would embarrass the prez that it was easier to black it all out? What were they able to find back in February that the American press and our government protectors / investigators weren't able to find? What's the big secret?

Budget tricks rife in health reform effort

Advocates of health care reform are relying on budget manipulations to stick with President Obama's pledge to overhaul the system without adding to the deficit, critics on and off Capitol Hill say.

Both independent budget analysts and Republicans say a Senate vote expected this week on a 10-year, nearly $250 billion Medicare reimbursement bill is the perfect example. They say it was sliced out of the reform plans because it would send the cost of Mr. Obama's top legislative priority over $1 trillion.

Guitierrez still pushing amnesty for illegal aliens

Amnesty Now!
Oct 17, 2009 04:25 am Claude Cartaginese
Representative Luis V. Gutierrez (D-Illinois), who made a name for himself back in 1999 by pressuring former President Bill Clinton into freeing 16 convicted FALN terrorists, is back in the news. As Amy Goodman’s Democracy Now! program reports, Gutierrez, a vociferous advocate of blanket amnesty for the estimated 12 million illegal aliens currently in [...]
